Safe and Comfortable
These fully certified helmets are light weight and durable polycarbonate. They are by far the most comfortable helmets we have ever tried.

Radio Compatibility
The Com helmets work with FRS and VHF radios. Please specify brand and model of radio you'll be using. If you don't know, give us a call. 619-993-1922

Sound Clarity
The noise canceling microphone keeps the conversations clear, even at full throttle. Normal microphones are useless in this environment.

Side Tone
The Deluxe Coms add side tone, which allows you to hear yourself while you transmit, providing confirmation that the radio is working. Side tone helps you speak at the correct volume to avoid over modulation while still speaking loud enough. Though many experienced pilots do without side tone, it is especially helpful for newer pilots.

Music Input
The Deluxe Coms also come with the 5 mm music input (RCA mono) which allows you to listen to your MP3 or CD player. The Peltor Earcups deliver crisp clear sound for music and radio transmissions.

Visor
Most pilots fly without visors. However, they are great for cool weather flying. $29

Measure your head

Please give this the attention it deserves. It takes less time to measure carefully than to repack and return a helmet.

Place the tape measure around your head, just above the center of the forehead, and on the "lump" in back. Make sure the tape is level all around and pull it snug. Measure to the nearest 1/8 inch or 1/2 centimeter.

Radio Connectors

Icaro Standard and Deluxe Com helmets are compatable with almost every radio. Please indicate one of the 7 connector types when you place your order. Not sure, call or email.

If you have a Vertex or Yaesu radio with a 1 pin connection, choose the 2 pin Icom connector and purchase the CT-44 adapter.

The new Yaesu VX170 requires a different adaptor similar to the CT-44 called the CT-91. You can find these adaptors at most Ham Radio stores. Get it at Universal Radio or Ham Radio Outlet.
