The
Eden 3 is best all around PPG/PG entry level and intermediate
level wing on the market today. Super light ground handling
for easy powered launches, excellent glide and sink rate performance
for unpowered flight, responsive handling, and a very respectable
top speed of 50 kph (38 mph).
The Eden 2 became a star in the intermediate-performance
category, a huge influence on the paragliding market. And
in the paramotoring community, the Eden 2 is well known for
its super easy launching, as with all MacPara gliders.
During their 13 months of testing 7 prototypes,
MacPara was challenged to improve on the Eden 2, striving
for lighter brake pressures yet retaining the excellent launch,
security and handling. Each prototype received intensive
extended testing for use with a paramotor. The result...
success in every category.
The Eden 3 has 52 cells, which get thinner
closer to the wing tip. The slim elliptical form has an aspect
ratio of 5.26. The line configuration was adapted from the
Intox and helps maintain a clean canopy. Diagonal V-tapes
and a system of load-bearing tapes give the canopy stability
during extreme manoeuvres and excellent stability throughout
the full weight range and speed window. Also, the canopy
is very resistant to collapse. In an induced collapse, the
Eden 3 does not rotate quickly and reopens smoothly, usually
within 50 degrees.
Despite high performance and agile handling,
the Eden 3 has good dampening. The light brake pressure allows
pleasant turns during long thermal flights, but increases
progressively toward the end of its travel to offer safety
reserves. The Eden 3 is equipped with split A risers for
easy big-ears. |
